Day 1: Tehran
Arriving Tehran, meet and Assist and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Tehran
Full day city Tour of Tehran with visiting the Royal palace Complex of Sa’ad Abad, Niavaran Palace complexes, Tajrish traditional Bazaar. Evening visit Jamaat khana. Overnight Tehran
Day 3: Tehran-Alamut
An excursion to Alamut Castle which is a historical monument and memorial to the God of Alamut (Hasan bin Sabah) in this castle eight of the Imams (Imam al Hadi to Imam Rukn al-Din Khurshah) ruled at the Alamut. Overnight Tehran
Day 4: Tehran-Shiraz
Visit the Archaeological Museum, National Jewels Museum and UNESCO historic Golestan Palace museum and traditional bazaar, then transfer to the airport to fly to Shiraz (about an hour flight). Overnight Shiraz
Day 05: Shiraz
In the morning visit world heritage Eram Garden, Nasirol-Molk mosque and Narenjestan Garden & museum, the tombs of great Persian poet Hafez, then in the afternoon visit Vakil complex (Bazaar, Citadel and Bath) and the Shrine of Shah-Cheragh. Overnight Shiraz
Day 6: Shiraz
Shiraz Full day excursion to UNESCO world heritage of Persepolis, Passargade and Naghsh-e-Rostam (Necropolis). Overnight Shiraz
Day 7: Kerman
Drive to Kerman, en-route visit the world heritage Sasan palace from 5century AD in Sarvestan, (571km). Overnight Kerman
Day 8: Mahan -Rayen or Mahan-Shahre Babak
An excursions to , afterwards go to Rayen to visit Rayen citadel (a citadel like Bam citadel) from sassanid period 224-651 AD. Overnight Kerman
Another possibility for today is an excersion to world heritage ancient village of Meymand and visiting Ismailis and Jamaat Khanah in Shahre Babak, then in the evening head to Mahan to visit the Prince Garden another UNESCO Persian garden. Overnight Kerman
Day 9: Yazd
Visit Ganj-Ali Khan Complex (bath house, caravanserai and bazaar), then head to Yazd visiting the Pistachio gardens en route in Rafsanjan. Overnight Yazd
Day 10: Yazd
Visit the Zoroastrian Towers of Silence, and the Fire Temple, henna pounding workshop, the UNESCO Dowlatabad Garden, Jame Mosque, walk in the UNESCO old town of Yazd, and then Amirchakhmaq square and traditional Iranian gym. Overnight Yazd
Day 11: Meybod -Naien-Isfahan
Drive to Isfahan while visiting an old Castle, Caravanserai, Ceramic and pottery workshops in Meybod and old cloak weaving workshops and one of the oldest Friday (congregational) mosques in Naien. Overnight Isfahan
Day 12: Isfahan
Visit the UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites of Naghshe Jahan Square: the second biggest square in the world including (Ali Qapu Palace, Imam/Royal Mosque, Sheikh-Lotfollah Mosque, and Bazaar) and then visit Chehel sotoun palace and garden and hasht behesht garden. Overnight Isfahan
Day 13: Isfahan
Visit the world heritage congregational Mosque, Armenian cathedral (Vank Church), and the famous bridges of Isfahan. Overnight Isfahan
Day 14: Kashan
Head to Kashan to see UNESCO Fin Garden, Agha Bozorg Mosque and School, Sultan Amir Ahmad Bathhouse and historical houses of Tabatabaie and Broojerdi and Abbasian. Overnight: Kashan
Day 15: Kahak- Anjedan –Mahalat-Qom
Head to Ismaili villages of Anjedan, Kahak and Mahalat, then go to Qom. Overnight Qom
Anjedan: Anjedan village is where Nizari Ismaili Imamate was transferred 14th century A.D and is also located the tomb of Mowlana Gharib Mirza 34 Imam & the Historic residence of 39th Ismaili Iman Nizar. Owing to the village’s name, Ismaili history between the 14th and 16th centuries is dubbed the “Anjedan period”.
Kahak: Kahak is a village located about 35 km northeast of Anjudan and northwest of Mahallat in central Iran, with the ruins of a fairly large caravanserai. Kahak was an important locality in the late medieval period for the Qasemshahi Nizari Ismaili community in Iran.
Mahalat: In this Ismaili historical town Agha Hassanali Shah was born. We will meet local Ismaili folks who still live there and drive past some of the work that that AKDN has been involved with. There are some Ismaili settlements like Hussainia Agha Khan and graves of some Imams and some JK’s around Mahalat.
Day 16: Qom- Mashad
In Qom the second holy city of Iran visit magnificent shrine of Fatima and then around noon you will be transferred to Tehran domestic airport to fly to Mashad. Late evening, you’ll visit the Imam Reza shrine – a place of pilgrimage for Iranian Shiites. Overnight Mashad
Day 17: Mashad
An excursion to Neishabur City to see tombs of the great Persian poet Faridu-din-Attar, the world famous Omar Khayyam the mathematician, astronomer and poet and Kamal-al-Mulk, Iran’s greatest contemporary painter.
On our way back to Mashhad we’ll stop at the mount of Dizbad and attend the Jamatkhana in Dizbad. Overnight: Mashad
Day 18: Departure
This morning we check out and transfer to the int Mashad Airport.
