Dashtak

The village is in mountain gorge in 2040 meters height above sea level with temperate climate and gardens of  walnuts, grapes, pomegranate, almond. The people do horticulture and animal husbandry, dairy products and producing handicrafts like embroidery, carpet weaving.

Plane Trees :According to the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of  Fars, Dashtak is  the village of old plane trees, one of the oldest trees in Iran and the world in general dating back to four thousand years ago.

Cattell: The old staircase named Cattell with 1020 stairs which had been formerly the only way of transportation between Dashtak and Hesar villages.

Mills: 6 old mills used in the past have made DASHTAK a symbol of cultural and historical monuments.

Itinerary:

Early in the morning drive from Shiraz to Dashtak for about 2h30.

Visit Setakhteh Gozin Mountain, Hesar village and historical stairway en route.

Trekking Dashtak toward the Kouhnar Spring which takes about 2 hours.

Return to Dashtak and drive back to Shiraz.
